Please ask your congress persons to introduce legislation to apply the Truth in Advertising laws and principles to all political, public service notices, political action Committee, advertising and other public pronouncements. Ideally, this should also apply to any official advertisement or public announcement by any federal or state government agency. Individuals in organizations and candidates alike shall be subject to fines and imprisonment for officially lying to the public in any public medium. Organizations of these activities should be fined proportional to the size of the distribution in addition to the the responsible individual's. There can be NO CORPORATE SHIELD for any officer employee of any political organization.
This last provision follows the US Constitution's provision that, among others, treaties are the supreme law of the land, and the finding in international law treaties that the USA is party to, that officers must determine if their orders are lawful, and must refuse to obey unlawful orders. Offers may not claim they "were just following orders" as a defense.
